07 January 2010 You don't need to refer to material which is not in the syllabus given by ICAI for CA exams.

For your own knowledge you can study them. I will advise to study only the syllabus topics. You can study extra in your free times.

Lets see what the other advised to you.

02 August 2025 Hey! For your IPCC exams, the best strategy is to focus **only on the topics mentioned in the official study material and syllabus** provided by ICAI. Here’s why:

* **Exam relevance:** The exam questions will be based on the syllabus prescribed by ICAI.
* **Efficiency:** Covering extra topics can waste time and cause confusion.
* **Scoring:** Concentrating on the syllabus ensures you understand what’s important for scoring well.

If the extra topics you see are interesting or helpful for deeper understanding, you can glance through them after you’re confident with the syllabus. But for exam prep, stick to the official material.
