To use brand name on the packging tape

05 November 2012 Dear Receiver,

We are a multional brand company. In India we are not registered with Excise as we do not carry out any value added service .

We just import the goods & sell it to customer.
While sending goods to customer we repack it into smaller cartons & in this process we also use packging tape to close the carton.

Now my question is - Can we use the pakcging tape on which my company brand name is alreay printed ? Is it ok as per rules & regulation of excise india .

05 November 2012 depend upon the products and goods cleared under transaction value or MRP value. Your products, packing or re-packing amounts to manufacture or not.

Thanks for the reply.
My products are cleared on MRP value .
But how do i know if my products repacking is amounts to manufacturing or not ?

I am not registed under excise so i am not aware .

Now tell me shall i use the packging tapes with my brand name printed on it is ok ?
