Time limit for correction statement

12 October 2011 i have a query that at the time of filing tds return wrong section entered in the return i.e 194a instead of 194c for FY-2009-10. in the year we received a demand notice for short deduction.so now my question is whether it is possible to file correction statement through online,and there is any time limit for filing correction statement.....

thanks in advance.....plz reply....

13 October 2011 Yes, You can file TDS correction return now, there is no time-limit for filing of correction TDS return.

13 October 2011 You Can File TDS Correction Return at any time. But first You have to Match the return by putting Provisional Receipt No in NSDL website whether the Challan matched or not. If that challan was matched then you can't make correction through Filing of Correction Return.
