Photocopy machine on rent provided by proprietor to a company and charging service tax on the bill.
whether service tax applicable or not?

Assuming that complete control of such machine is transferred to the lessee, such a transaction will attract VAT/CST and not service tax.

if he mention Service tax number on top of the bill. it's mean he is the registered user of service tax. if he provided services more than 10 lakh he will registered under service tax and deduct also.
