17 September 2011 Dear sir
My query is that we pay the freight to many trucks individualiy against GRs of same trnasport and amount of freight is less than Rs. 5000/- of single truck or GR.

In the above case is it compulsory to deduct the TDS or Not

If The payment more than Rs. 80000/- of Single GR and the owner give the PAN, In that case TDS to deducted or not

17 September 2011 now simple rule is that if the transporter provide PAN then there will be no TDS on the payment made.
