22 June 2011 under which section TDS should be deducted on car hire charges.

pls quote section no, corresponding amendment or circular ref, if any.

22 June 2011 TDS is deducted on the basis of agreement between the two parties. if there i contract between two, then u/s 194c otherwise u/s 194I

You should check the status of such transaction. In case of company deductee in both case (194C &194i) tds rate shall be 2%.
