Referring to the previous query....Can the Tds deducted and remitted for the same party in April and May 08 be adjusted with the Tds to be remitted for the month Of March08???

No, because the F.Y. are different.

If it is the same FY you can adjust in subsequent month. Different FY/AY you cannot adjust the earlier FY/AY payments.

Better you disallow the same and file the revise return and you can save the interest (234 B & C) if the same will be found out by the dept at the time of scrutiny.
