An educational institute deduct TDS u/s.194C or u/s. 194J for payment made to visiting faculty ? Is it contract payment or professional payment ?

YOu have not specify nature of work, but it seem that 194J will be applicable.

nature of work is lecturer not on a permanent salary basis but on visiting basis.
