tds on transportation

As per the amendment through Union Budget 2009, no tds is to be deducted on transportation costs wef 1.10.2009. Is it confirmed?

yes but collect Pan detail Quoted on Bill or Pan Copy.

Agree with expert, in case of PAN is not available TDS is there and it's applicable only for transport operator of goods carriage.
