Hi Ranjit..
First u have to determine Taxable salary of an employee for the year by taking his gross salary and giving deductions according to investment declaration made by employee...Now after computing Taxable salary, divide it by 12 and deduct this 1/12th (TDS)from his salary every month...

There is no specific rate for TDS on salary...TDS on salary in calculated on Prevailing Tax Slab Rate in tht fifnacial year...
