If an employee join in the mid of the year for say in August'12 and he does not provide the details of his last salary drawn and only providing a lumsum amount of his salary for the last four months and also tds was not deducted in the previous Company than how to calculate Tds.

In this senario you have to consider only the notional amount which are related to your company unless the employee is not providing Form-12B(salaries received from other employer).
