I HAVE PAID FOR 6 MONTHS RENT @ Rs.30000/- p.m. IN THE FINANCIAL YEAR 2011-12, WHETHER TDS APPLICABLE

No not Applicable. if rent paid or credited crossed 180000/- then TDS is appliable.

As it did not increase limit of 180,000/-, no need to deduct TDS on the same

further, TDS is to be deducted by all person on payment of rent except huf and individual who's sales is less than limit specified in section 44AB(tax audit)
