A property is taken on lease in the joint names of two persons and the same is sublet. The total rent per month is 18,000.00. Rent is paid to the joint account. Whether TDS is applicable?

Yes TDS to be deducted u/s 194I.

TDS deductible in case of amount to one payee is more than Rs. 180,000 p. m. per person.
