Tds on paymet to hotel for conference for one day

28 August 2014 Hello Everbody,

I want to know whether i should deduct TDS for paymnent to Hotel for Conference for one day.
We have only organized one day conference alongwith Lunch.Paymnet amount is
Rs. 200000/-
Pls suggest.

28 August 2014 since it was on rent but the threshold limit is not crossed u/s 194I so not tds is applicable.

28 August 2014 tds on rent applicable if you take room u/s 194I limit 180000/- @ 10%
. if you take room with fooding then it come under u/s 194C @ 1% for individual/HUF and 2% for others.
