Tds on mobilisation advance

17 July 2017 Sir .,
I already deducted tds on mobilisation advance , now cobtractor raisw a RA bill abd said you are already deduct tds of more amount which is of mobilisation advance and they demand full payment of the RA BILL and tds amount adjusted with the tds alreafy decut3d at the of payment of mobilistion advace , we use 20% of mobilisation advace in this bill , suggest me help me

17 July 2017 I deducted 66000 from mobilisation advace as tds , now 1st ra bill tds amonut is rs 23000 , contactor said you already decuct tds of amonut 66k , 23 is adjusted with this bill and remaining from the upcoming bills , we cut 20% of the payment due to mobilisation advace , sir suggest me , can i dedecut tds or not , or if yes how much

17 July 2017 To the extent of the Mobilization Advance being adjusted against the RA Bill, do not deduct TDS. For example if Out of total Mob Advance of 100, Rs.20 is being adjusted against RA Bill of Rs. 100/-, then you will deduct TDS on Rs. 80/- of RA Bill. On Rs. 20/- of RA Bill tax is not to be deducted since it was already deducted at time of Mob Advance.

17 July 2017 thanks for the reply sir ,
it means if i adjust 20% of mobilisation advance with the ra bill only 20% of tds will be adjust against the same . remaining tds will be deducted from the Current bill ,
