What is the liability of co. in regard service tax and tds on freight inward and freight outward.

Service is applicable on GTA service. In the case of a company(being consigner or consignee) the party who makes the payment is liable to deposit the tax. It does not make any difference whether the service is for inward or outward transportation.

tdswill be deducted @2.06 if payment is less than 1 crore & @ 2.266 if more than 1 cr
