Tds on advertisement

08 February 2013 Whether TDS will be deducted on payment made for conference participation of Rs 400000/- by way of advertisement.(using company logo in conference). Confernce is conducted by a association.
Also under reverse charge mechanism service tax will be leveid on such payment.

Is there any notification for deducting TDS on such payment.

08 February 2013 Yes . TDS is deductible under section 194C . Incase of company/ firm 2%.Individual & HUF 1%.
Limit is 30000 per contract / 75000 p.a

08 February 2013 1)If we are paying to Hospitals who are organising Conferences then in such case whether TDS will be deducted for such payment.

2)Also if we are paying for
stall charges in conference or
for product advertisemnt in conference/ seminars

3)or sponsering any such conference

whether in all above such transactions TDS will be deducted?& under which section
