TDS not deducted but paid

12 July 2010 If TDS is not deducted on an amount of Rs. 150000 and the amount is paid in full to an advertising agency, then what can be the remedy for this ?? The problem is we can't adjust the amount in the next payment as there is only one transaction with the advertising agency.

Can we pay the tds without deducting the amount from the payment?? Please help.

12 July 2010 Dear ANONYMOUS!

Deposit the tax within 30sept. so that you may claim the expenses in your PL. deposit TDS and issue TDS certificate. Try to claim the payment from that AD agency.(TOUGH TASK!!!)

12 July 2010 Thanks for the advice. While filing the tds returns will it create any problem?And I also wanted to know that if we don't pay tds on it then we would not be able to claim the expense in P&L.
