12 January 2010 Can we use pan card of proprietor in a Proprietorship concern for E-Filing of TDS or do we need to apply for a separate PAN card for the firm.

Yes, PAN of the proprietor will be used for TDS return of proprietorship firm as both are of same standing in income tax.

12 January 2010 In Proprietorship there is only one person so owner pancard is firm pancard it can be used in etds and for otherthan proprietor they have their firm pan also.

12 January 2010 For e filing of TDS Tan is required not PAN ,further proprietor may take separate TAN for each establishment or consolidated e filing also can be done but its all depends upon ,under which TAN tax has been deposited

Further same Pan is to be used in all the TAN issued to one proprietor
