Tds for payment made to port trust

29 April 2013 Dear sir,

Please clarify the following,

if the pvt ltd co. deposits money with port trust vskp, which is to be used for expenses to be incurred by the co.on behalf of co.s customers and the co.subsequently recover the money from customers,now my doubt is,who is responsible for tds co. or customer and at what point

29 April 2013 Company is responsible to deduct TDS as customer will be simply reimbursing the expenses and they are not incurring any expenses directly.

However if company do not pay TDS than department may also shift liability to the customer the ultimate party bearing TDS liability.
