A PERSON DEDUCT MY TDS FOR THE ASST. YR. 2007-08 AND 2008-09 AND DEPOSITED . BUT THE TDS NOT SHOWN IN 26AS NEITHER GET THE REFUND OF TDS .IN THAT TIME THE PERSON FILE TDS RETUN AS MANUAL .

I SAID TO THAT PERSON PLEASE RECTIFY THE TDS RETUND, AND PERSON RECTIFY THE TDS RETUND THROUG IT DEPTT. BUT TILL DATE 02/07/2012 THE TDS AMOUNT FOR THE ASST. YEAR 2007-2008 AND 2008-09 is NOT SHOW IN 26AS . CAN IT BE SHOWN AND PLEASE HELP ME HOW TO GET TDS REFUND AMOUNT AS EARLY AS POSSIBLE .
PLEASE HELP ME AND THANKS IN ADVANCE .

03 July 2012 You can ask for the TDS certificates from the person who has deducted tax on the payment made to you.

You will have to go to Income Tax Dept and speak to the officer and notify your situation. However, they will be asking for either 26AS or the TDS Certificates.

In the alternative, ask the deductor to give you a copy of the Manual TDS return filed you can show it to your Income Tax Officer or escalate

AFTER RECTIFY OF TDS RETURN CAN IT BE SHOWN IN 26AS . AND I HAVE TDS CERTIFICATE OF BOTH THE YEAR , IF I SUBMIT THE TDS CERTIFICATE ONLY THEN CAN GET THE REFUND

03 July 2012 If you have TDS Certificates then its the best. Just submit a photocopy alongwith a letter for granting credit of the TDS and you shall get your refund
