12 August 2025 To change the mobile number where the OTP for TDS return filing is sent, you need to update your profile on the TRACES portal (TDS Reconciliation Analysis and Correction Enabling System). Here’s the step-by-step process:

How to Change Mobile Number for OTP in TDS Filing:
Login to TRACES portal:

Visit https://www.tdscpc.gov.in/

Use your TAN and password to log in.

Go to Profile Settings:

After login, navigate to ‘Profile Settings’ or ‘My Profile’ section.

Update Mobile Number:

Look for the option to update or change your registered mobile number.

Enter the new mobile number.

You may be asked to verify the new number via an OTP sent on the new mobile.

Submit & Save:

Confirm and save the changes.

Verification:

Once the mobile number is updated, future OTPs for TDS return filing and other activities will be sent to the new mobile number.

Important:
If you don’t have access to the registered mobile number, you cannot change it directly online via TRACES.

In such cases, you may need to contact the TDS CPC helpdesk or submit a request through your authorized CA or tax consultant.
