14 June 2008 r we required to make e payment for tds also in case of company

also if for april n may if paymaent had been made by deposit of cheque will it have any consequences

22 June 2008 Online tax deposit is mandatory in case of the corporate asseesse & the person who are required to get their acconts audited u/s 44 (Tax Audit) of the income tax act & from April, 08 onwards there is no option for such asseesses to deposit the tax in cash or by cheque. For others it is optional to deposit the tax online.
