Kindly clarify the following :
Since mine organisation is not banking with any of the authorised bank for making online tax payment hence
1. Can We make tax payment through our bank as we were doing earlier (i.e. by submitting challans & transfer cheque)?
2. Can we submit challan along with cheque to any one of the authorised bank and after getting the credit of the cheque, the authorised bank makes the online payment for us?
Kindly reply at the rearliest. Thanks a lot.

Organisation is a new Pvt. Ltd. Firm just been registered in April 2008.

For all assessees to whom Tax Audit is applicable, e-payment is mandatory. But some banks on a special request at times, process the payment of TDS through challans, but in rare cases.
This is information technology era. Quit the challan writing, standing in Qs, going to bank again to collect the challan

Although E-Filing is mandatory for all company and assesese liable to tax audit
but no penalty has been imposed/ prescribed till date for mannually deposition of Tax i.e. thru earlier process (Challan and cheques)
