creditor has mentioned in the invoice that "DEDUCTION OF TDS NOT APPLICABLE" and accordingly TDS has not been deducted. whether lower deduction or no deduction of TDS certificate is required to obtain to substantiate being what is mentioned in the invoice

Yes, you have to know the reason for non - Applicability of TDS Provision, Just providing in the Invoice won't be sufficient they have to provide the proof for non applicability of TDS.

And you have to provide the details of lower deduction/non Deduction in your TDS return
