13 April 2013 I am working as computer operator. They pay me (contract fees) 7000/-per/month.
The deduction of Rs. 25/- as Staff association Contribution every month.
Now they forget to deduct TDS Rs. 797/- for the last finical Year. They tell me that give us Cash Rs. 797/- we will give you a TDS certificate which can help you can return from IT.
Is it possible or NOT.

16 April 2013 It is possible...but for your claim it is required that your employer or person deducting the tax has to file TDS return with Interest....

Kidly make clarification with your deductor about amount i.e 797/- how he calculated as he can not collect the amount with interest from you.
