i am trying to file my TDS Quarter 4 Return for the F.Y.12-13, in which my address is changed , while my original TDS Q4 Return so in Consolidated file which i download from TRACES , old address is reflected so can u gide me how to Deal with this.

as my 27A Generated through 3.8 RPU VERSION and in that old address is reflected so tin centre rejected to accept the return as address is mismatch.

27 July 2025 You're facing an **address mismatch issue** while filing a **revised TDS return for Q4 FY 2012–13**, because the **old address is appearing in the Consolidated File (Conso File)** and also on **Form 27A** generated via RPU. The **TIN-FC (TIN Facilitation Center)** is rejecting it due to this mismatch.

Here's a clear step-by-step solution:

### ✅ Why this happens:

* The **address in the Conso File** is picked from your **original TDS return** filed for that quarter.
* **Form 27A** auto-populates the address from the **Conso File**, so it always shows the old address unless changed via TAN master.

### 🔧 **How to Fix This Issue:**

#### 🔹 Option 1: **Update TAN Address with NSDL (Now Protean eGov)**

1. Download and fill **Form for "TAN Change Request"**:

2. Submit it **physically** to your nearest **TIN-FC** or **online** (if DSC is available).
3. Once updated, the address will reflect in future filings.

> ⚠️ However, **this will not fix the Conso File for a past return**, as it's linked to the original filing.

#### 🔹 Option 2: **Mention Address Mismatch Reason in Covering Letter**

Since address mismatch is not an actual data error (and can't be edited in RPU), do the following:

1. Prepare a **covering letter** on your organization's letterhead:

* Explain the address change
* Mention PAN, TAN, FY, Quarter, and the reason for revised return
* Request acceptance despite mismatch

2. Attach:

* Copy of **address proof** (GST, utility bill, etc.)
* **Revised 27A**, FVU file, TDS return CD/Pen drive
* Printout of **TRACES Conso File details** showing old address

> Most TIN-FCs accept the revised return with this clarification.

#### 🔹 Option 3: **Use Online TDS Correction (If DSC is available)**

If you have **Digital Signature Certificate (DSC)** and TRACES login:

* Login to TRACES → Go to **"Defaults" > "Request for Correction"**
* Perform **online correction** — this does not generate a new 27A or face address rejection
