Tds by public sector bank not uploaded to tin

28 July 2011 A branch of a leading Public Sector Bank has not uploaded TDS particulars in respect of depositors for Assessment Year 2011-12. Despite repeated requests from the depositor to do so, the branch is giving some excuse or the other for not doing so. My queries are as follows:
1. Is there a time limit within which the TDS particulars are to be uploaded?

2. What happens to the TDS claim of the depositor (who has been given the TDS certificate by the Bank in Form 16A) if the particlulars are uploaded after the time limit and/or after July 31, 2011? Note: The depositor will be filing his IT Return online.

3. Is there any remedy available to the depositor to compel the branch to upload the TDS particulars?

05 September 2011 In fact Nationalized Bank should upload eTDS return in due date. First of all depositor may request to the officer.There are some practical difficulties in case Banking Deductor. But proper control and continue focus on deduction details may over come the return uploading process.Depositor may insist to the Branch that if there will be some inconsitancy the Branch will upload revised e eTDS.
