TDS Applicable for Software Licence

04 November 2009 I need to confirm the is TDS applicable for software licence to purchase "valid for six months"

I having one bill for Software Licence it is valid only 6months and they charged 4% Vat.

Please anybody confirm this issue

04 November 2009 No TDS is not applicable on software licence purchased. As this is sale of product.

05 November 2009 after sold the software, your deal is over. if they come for services or maintenance of the software then you may deduct tds on the service provided to you.
