12 July 2007 If a container had het an accident in Inida and went to repairs in UK, is the payment for repairs liable for deduction?

12 July 2007 Where the container met an accident is not improtant here rather tds on foreign payment for a "repair" bill is important.

12 July 2007 The querry is not clear at all. Whether the repair was carried out abroad or the repair party is abroad or both. As per the provisions of section 195, any payment to a non resident is subject to deduction of tax at source. The provisions of section 9 is not relavant.
