My client purchases Lorry chassis from a company - Capitalised and spends in lakhs for its body works which is also capitalised. This body works is done by local party and not the supplier of chassis. Will this body work attract tds u/s 194 C ?

yes sec 194C is applicable since material is provided by you after purchasing for doing the "body work" which falls in definition of works contract as per sec 194C
