Sir
i credited 4 bill of contractor 7000/- + 8000 + 5000/- + 4000/-
Total of 24000/- payable
but i paid Rs. 31000/- by Cheque
then TDS deductable or not

but my consultant suggest me to deduct tax because i crossed limit of 30000/- in single entry

Since you made single payment of Rs 31,000 i think you should deduct TDS because wordings of sec 194c says paid or credited.

In my view since credit is less than Rs.30000 and then payment is made for Rs.31000, TDS is not applicable. But to be on the safe side there is no harm in deducting Tax.
