If the assessee makes a payment of expense on 31st march, what will be the due date of payment of TDS?
And what will be the due date of payment of TDS if the assessee makes a provision of expense on 31st march?
And what will be the due date of payment of TDS if the assessee makes a provision of expense on 31st march?

As per finance act 2008, the due date for payment of TDS deducted in the last month of previous year(march) is the due date for filing of returns for the assessee.
This is applicable for both payment and provision.
This amendment is applicable with retrospective effect from AY 05-06.

Dear Luluwa,
1. If any amount is credited to the payee's account on the last day of accounting year i.e. 31 st March then tax should be deposited within 2 months from the end of the months in which such last day falls.
2. In any other case (i.e. on 30th March) within one week from the last day of the month in which deduction is made.
In case of provision of expenses aforsaid provision will apply too.
