Respected Sir/Madam,
whether TDS is applicable on purchase of diesel( Diesel was purchased from Indian oil corp), also the transportation charges was given separately i.e- diesel @Rs.50 per litre plus transportation charges @Rs.4 per litre.
whether TDS is required to be deducted on the said transaction, if yes then only on transportation charges or on the whole amount of transaction.The total amount of bill was Rs.4,50,000.

No TDS on purchase of goods however in case freight there may be liability of TDS subject to other conditions of the agreement with transporter

So TDS liability will arise if there is a contract between our client and transporter.

your client will have deduct TDS if it comes within preview of section 194C conditions
