I HAD RECEIVED INTIMATION FOR LATE FILING OF TDS RETURN FOR PAYMENT OF INTEREST ON TDS . SO FOR THAT I HAD REQUEST FOR THE JUSTIFICATION REPORT BUT RIGHT NOW I M NOT ABLE TO OPEN THAT FILE SO HELP ME OUT ,WHAT PROCESS I HAD TO FOLLOW?

I also tried and cant open the Justification files. But For Q2 of FY 2012-13 Incometax Department sent notices relating TDS late filing fee u/s234E claiming @200 per day. Now, what will be the entire Tax professionals reaction in this regard. Because late fee for IInd Quarter TDS returns filed after 15th October are processed only on 4th May 2013 and sent to the Assessees by June 2013. Is it very late process or not? It is better to apply section 234E from the FY 2013-14. And Due dates for TDS returns may increased to the respective month end. i.e. 31st July, 31st October, 31st January and as usual 31st May. This is many persons opinion. What about our CA club members and Experts? Please share your thoughts and we may get relaxed.
