Company has paid rent of prmises on behalf of employee who is left the company also deducted the TDS & paid in 2009 - 10. Can company issue the TDS certificate ?

Hi,
If you have recovered the complete Rent from the Employee you can go ahead with issue of TDS certificate..
In case the Employee has also paid the rent, you have to recover the same from Employee or Owner of house and then adjust the TDS paid with subsequent month payments..
