The TCS error T-FV-4339: "No value to be provided under this field" usually occurs during filing when a particular field is being filled with some data, but the system expects it to be left blank (no value).
How to resolve this error: Check the field mentioned in the error: Usually, the error message will be accompanied by the field name or form section. Make sure that field is either left blank or filled exactly as required. Common scenarios: Sometimes, fields like PAN of deductee, Amount paid, or Challan details might be wrongly filled. For example, if the TCS form asks for "Date of Payment" but it’s not applicable or should be blank for that entry, filling any value triggers this error. Steps to fix: Open the form/data you are submitting on the NSDL TRACES portal or your TCS return preparation software. Locate the field that is throwing the error. Clear the value from that field (make it blank). Save and re-submit. Validate the data file: If you are uploading a bulk XML file, run it through the validation tool provided by the portal. The validation tool highlights the exact field with the issue. If unsure, check documentation or support: NSDL or Income Tax Department’s helpdesk or user manual might specify which fields should be left blank. You can also reach out to TRACES helpdesk for specific guidance. In short: This error means you are filling data in a field which should be left empty. Identify that field and clear it.
