13 May 2012 i want to open a milk dairy farm.a do not know about tax on production of milk and milk product on jharkhand,so please guide me ,is excise duty on milk production? is sales tax on this? and how many type on taxes on milk and milk production

I think I have answered this query two days back. However,repeating the same : Milk,toned or pasturised,buttermilk,lassi are exempt from VAT.Some milk products such as butter,ghee,kova,tinned or condesed milk are chargeable @4% and some sweets made of milk are chargeable @12.5%.
