if a manufacturer submits a document under heading VAT INVOICE and has all the details required for excise invoice ... whether this document can be accepted for allowance of excise credit as the manufaturer insists that this is his excise invoice issued under CE rule 11 meant for removal of goods from his factory premises

excise has its own set of invoice, however if the invoice is computer generated and have details therein as per CE rule 11, and is pre-authenticated then it may be combined for vat tax excise as well as excise.

thanks sir, but sir i have heard that pre authentication has been dispensed vide notification dated 27.2.2010 in that case pre authentication is also not necessary.

search for such notification, if found correct then it wil not be necessary, however each data as per rule is needed.
