26 September 2009 Can anyone please let me know which is the last date for filling income tax of a partnership firm for 2008-2009 which is not eligible for audit. Is it 30th September 2009 or July 31st 2009. Thanx in advance!

26 September 2009 As per section 139(1) of the Income Tax Act, 1961, if partnership firm is not liable to get its accounts audited u/s 44AB, then the last date for filing income tax will be 31st July of the relevant assessment year....

Therefore, last date for filing your firm's return is 31st July, 2009....
