If an assessee is unable to file tax audit return by any reason on or before due date, is it necessary to furnish the tax audit report in physical form on or before the due date to avoid penalty proceedings u/s 271 b of the act?

You cannot file Tax Audit Report in physical form. you have to put up all details in ITR.
