TAN for takeover of Proprietary Firm

Quick Summary
If a proprietary firm is taken over by a new owner, a fresh Tax Deduction and Collection Account Number (TAN) must be applied for. This is necessary even if the previous proprietor has not yet surrendered their existing TAN. The new TAN should be linked to the new proprietor's Permanent Account Number (PAN).
