I have just started exploring Tally to maintain my Proprietorship book of accounts. Can someone help me with how to account for the capital I bring into this business. What ledgers should I create and which vouchers should I use to post the amounts to bank/cash and proprietors capital account?

In Tally 'Capital' ; 'Cash' ; and 'Bank' is already exisited.
To make entry for capital brought in business, You must pass a receipts entry. For which credit to Captial through debti to Cash/Bank. I use Tally very frequently. So you can ask me any question. For this your subject should be O "Online account". my id is jaygulani@yahoo.co.in
