07 August 2014 i want to maintain my books in tally. but i m facing a problem that i purchase goods in kg but sale the good in peices. plz tell me how can i maintain my books with stock..

08 August 2014 Hi Eshu,

You can follow any one unit either kg or piece.

You will have to convert from kgs to pieces while posting entry if unit is 'Pieces' in tally and vice versa if unit is 'Kgs' in tally.

If you are issuing sales bills from tally only then it will be advisable to have unit 'Pieces'.
