03 December 2009 dear experts,

i want to transfer the money to my phillipines agent for import. we have given beneficiary bank details alongwith their swift code. Now bankers are requesting the US swift code of beneficiary's Bankers and routing code. Is it must to provide. through swift, what we can find out? is it possible to find out country, bank, branch, etc.? please advice.

03 December 2009 Dear Haridhayalan,

Ask your Phillipens agent to provide details of corresponding Bank which is corresponding his Bank (Beneficiary Bank) and its SWIFT or IBAN code.

The corresponding Bank shall take care of conversion of INR into USD and USD to Peso. Different Banks are having tie up with different Banks.
