Sub-accounts and FII

This query is : Resolved

17 October 2007 What is the difference between a sub-account and a foreign institutional investor?

Please throw a light on both for clarity.

17 October 2007 Foreign companies/Individuals are permitted to invest in equity shares traded in Indian Stock markets if they are registered as a Foreign Institutional Investor (FII) or if they have a sub account in India

31 October 2007 PNs of sub-accounts are not allowed. These will affect the hedge funds.

09 November 2007 Thanks for the inputs

18 November 2007 I appreciate the gesture of Mr. Ravi Kumar.
