what points should keep in mind while checking statutory payments ?

Find out what all taxes ,statutory payments that firm is liable to discharge and verify
Whether all statutory payments were discharged duly or any delay,incase of delay whether interest applicable paid or not,
whether amount paid to govt authority was correctly arrived
whether amount paid using correct challan
whether firm not complied any where(ex:tds applicable but not deducted and paid,reversecharge applicable but not paid)
whether returns for all statutory dues was filed duly,and whether those returns filed correctly
obligations related to statutory like,whether tds certificates was downloaded from traces and send to deductees with in timeline specified in rule 31A
Prepare audit docuementation for workdone in this area,for each statutory payment verified
can prepareit in a small table, month,due date of payment,date of payment,delay in days
