28 October 2010 How do I find the status of an appeal filed challenging section 50C.The appeal was filed in February 2010.Since then there has been no reply from the IT department.

Have you received a signature from the clerk of the appeal section in your local delivery note.It will act as an evidence when the AO issues a notice to your client to pay the tax.Moreover ask the AO that any notice of your appeal has reached him so as to give the reply to your grounds of appeal.
