02 February 2019 If an employee works for 8 months with a company, please advise that how much standard deduction is he eligible for? Is it that Standard deduction would be calculated for 8 months proportionately i.e (40000 * 8 months /12 months)?

02 February 2019 it would be calculated for 8 months only. because after 8 months if he joins any other firm then they will also give deduction of 40000 then it will lead of double deduction
