Stamp paper refund

I bought a stamp paper on 10.4.12 and got franking on 11.4.12.This was signed by both the parties.while presenting for registration i was told about a stay on property.Now i want to refund the stamp.what is the rules and how can i get the refund.

Once Stamp paper is used.. you are not allowed to return it back to take your money back.
